On a hilltop in San Diego, California is the site of Father Junipero Serra's first mission in 1769. Below that hill, a community of Mexican adobe buildings created what became "El Pueblo" of San Diego. In 1968 this location became Historic Old Town State Historic Park in an effort to preserve the rich history and culture of the area. Today, you can experience this culture firsthand as you explore the historic sites, unique shops and galleries and the delicious cuisine of Old Town San Diego.
