With the world's largest rotating tramcars, Palm Springs Aerial Tramway allows you to ascend two and one half miles up into an awe-inspiring wilderness. Since its opening in 1963, more than 12 million people have safely traveled by the Tramway into the pristine mountains overlooking the Coachella Valley. In addition to the incredible sights experienced during the ride, there are numerous things to do once you reach the top. Two restaurants, both open for lunch and dinner, offer breathtaking views of your surroundings. There is also a full cocktail bar which includes a variety of appetizers. A gift shop sits among the Mountain Station as well as below at the Valley Station. Here you will find unique tramway souvenirs. If you're looking for the more adventurous options, consider hiking, cross-country skiing, sledding, snowshoeing the back country, snow camping, guided nature walks, or camping. Whatever you decide to do, you will have a wonderful, memorable experience during your visit aboard the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway.
