Just one hour's drive from San Diego, Cuyamaca Rancho State Park is a perfect place for relaxation and to get away from the busy streets of San Diego County. Here you will find pure nature rich with California wildlife like deer, mountain lions, coyotes, and bobcats. Half of Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, which is 25,000 acres (10,100 ha) is a perfect habitat for these animals.

At the northern end of the park lies the Stonewall Gold Mine, that was a real gold mine town in the past and was one of the main gold digging places in the 19th century.
